ABOUT YOUTH MENTORING
Children’s Aid Society has been serving our community through mentoring for over 36 years. Youth Mentoring provides adult mentors for children in need in our community and high school mentors for elementary students through our school-based program. Mentors spend purposeful time with youth focusing on helping them grow in all aspects of their lives. Supporting this program is cost-effective for our community and yields significant positive impacts on the youth served!
We have found that youth matched in the program are:
-
less likely to start negative habits such as using drugs or drinking.
-
more likely to be more successful academically and behaviorally in school.
-
more likely to build trusting relationships with other people such as family members and friends.

The cost to serve one child through Youth Mentoring is $3,766.
In 2022 Youth Mentoring served 76 children in Clearfield County.
