Parents As Teachers

You are your child’s first and most important teacher.

​

The mission of Parents as Teachers is to support children by supporting their parents. The program values the fact that parents are their children’s first most influential teacher, and that all young children and their families deserve the opportunity to succeed. The program is provided free to families with children from pregnancy through the age of 5 years old. 

SCREENINGS​

​Offered to help you track your child’s health, hearing, vision, language and development. 

HOME VISITS​

Staff partner with you to help your child learn through play, facilitate fun activities, games and crafts, share information about development and address concerns. 

RESOURCE CONNECTIONS

Staff provide community resources, activities and services  to support your family’s well being

GROUP CONNECTIONS

Optional group story time, crafts and games provide opportunities for children to develop social skills while parents network and share ideas

Parents as Teachers

Parents as Teachers is an evidence-based, early childhood parent education, family support and well-being, and school readiness home visiting model based on the belief that all children will learn, grow and develop to realize their full potential.

The program is available to parents in Clearfield County.
