Partnering with Keystone STARS STAR 2 and above registered family child care providers to strengthen families in our community.

Four Areas of Service Delivery:

Coaching- Based upon your areas of interest, we provide in-home coaching in ways to strengthen the families you work with using three proven curricula.

• Creative Curriculum for Family Child Care- Leads family child care providers through the process of planning every aspect of caring for children and partnering with families.
• I Can Problem Solve (ICPS)- Teaches children how to think, not what to think. It is a self-contained program that involves games, stories, puppets, and role play to make learning enjoyable.
• Nurturing Parenting Program- Features activities to foster positive parenting skills and self-nurturing, home practice exercises, family nurturing time, and activities to promote positive brain development in children.
  Monthly 1 1/2 hour visits are scheduled at your convenience!
  Additional monthly telephone consultations are available.
  You can receive up to 6 hours each year of PQAS training for participating in these home visits!

Linking-The Strengthening Provider Program will offer quarterly group trainings on social services available in the community as well as facilitate meetings with social service representatives. Build your relationship with Children, Youth and Family Services (CYFS) as you learn how to recognize early signs of child abuse and neglect and where and how to report and seek support. Have access to a resource library of available services throughout the community.

Mentoring-We will assist you as you collect and report required demographics and child outcomes using the Ounce and Work Sampling systems to track and report on children's growth and development in the Early Learning Network online data system.

Resource Packets-Each month, all child care providers will receive a resource packet of guidance, support and tips. The resource packet will include topics such as:

• Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention
• Safety
• Nutrition
• Activities for the whole family to enjoy
• Child Development
• Discipline

We encourage you to post the information in your center or home for parents to read, give each parent a copy of the resource, or simply discuss the information with parents as they pick up or drop off their children.
