Beginning in 2007, Children's Aid Society provides 3 and 4 year olds with free, high quality pre-kindergarten classes through Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts Program. Pre-K Counts is made possible by a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and is in partnership with local school districts to ensure proper transition between Pre-K and kindergarten. The Pre-K Counts program strives to provide children the skills necessary to successfully transition into kindergarten and succeed in school. We offer a full-day Pre-K Counts program at our Child Care Center in Clearfield. Our program incorporates Creative Curriculum and PA Early Learning Standards. Both curriculums are used to develop a learning environment that addresses all aspects of a child's development including social, emotional, cognitive and physical. Lessons and activities are designed to promote creativity in children, by asking questions, learning through trial and error and gaining new knowledge when making mistakes.
